To be Christian is to reflect our example Jesus Christ in all he did.

To be able to reflect Christ we must know and follow His directions and examples.

Scripture

Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you;
but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil”

Romans 16:19

But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires. The Spirit has given us life; He must also control our lives. We must not be proud or irritate one another or be jealous of one another.

Galatians 5:22-26

Reflections

Christianity isn’t about following a set of rules, attending church, or acting religious.

These things will not save anyone!

The power of the resurrected Jesus does what no earthly power could ever do:

  • changing the hearts
  • changing minds
  • changing lives of all who believe in Christ and follow Him in obedience.

You will never be “good enough” as you are now.

You can not wait until you have all the doctrines or religions figured out.

You do not have to figure it all out.

You do not have to understand the deep doctrines of justification, sanctification, mortification, glorification.

All you have to know is that He picked you to be His son or daughter, which means that you are loved by God the Father.

Jesus said, “Even when you were lost in sin, I came to you to be reconciled. I loved you when you were wallowing in filth. I called you, chose you and adopted you for no other reason than that I love you.”

The purpose of intimacy with Jesus is to have a revelation of the Father.

Christianity is the only faith in which the one true God reaches out to humanity.

He pursues and seeks us out; we are the ones who are lost—not God.

Obedience to God no matter the cost and no matter how difficult it is.

Therefore, If it takes you away from God, do not do it!

Four important characteristics of an authentic disciple of Jesus:

  • Christians love one another
  • Protect the Truth
  • and give thanks to God.
  • Produce fruit through The Spirit from the vine (God).

But the Spirit produces;

  • love
  • joy
  • peace
  • patience
  • kindness
  • goodness
  • faithfulness
  • humility
  • and self-control

There is no law against such things as these.

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.

The Spirit has given us life;
he must also control our lives.

We must not be proud or irritate one another or be jealous of one another.

Galatians 5:22-26 | GNT

The battle you are facing is not yours but God’s.

If you are a child of His, you can be certain that Satan will “rage against you.”
